Together with Mindray, A Quality Medical Team is Formed

The Laboratory Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University attaches importance to the training of disciplinary talents and talent echelon construction, requiring Mindray technicians to assist the department's professional team and persons in charge to develop targeted and focused training programs.

According to the hospital's requirements, the Clinical Application Department of Mindray Beijing R&D Center has performed the following work respectively:

1. Formulate short term and mid-to-long term training programs according to communications with the persons in charge of the clinical examination teams.
2. Assist doctors to screen out representative cases with complete information on the clinical diagnosis and treatment process from tens of thousands of daily cases for exchange and discussion.
3. Assist in building a monthly communication platform between the Laboratory Department and clinical doctors, and to help them gain a deeper understanding of the importance of CBC parameters and new technologies for clinicians, patients, and the Laboratory Department.
4. Discover the pain points and itchy points of the existing workflow of the Laboratory Department and clinics in the process of case collation and communication with clinicians and pave the foundation for the promotion of new products and technologies in the later stage.

Become Active and Face Challenges with Innovations

The beginning of 2023 was a time of unprecedented crisis and challenge for Mindray Beijing R&D Center and the Beijing Strategic Accounts Department. The blood cell analysis process line at Beijing Tiantan Hospital has been used for almost 5 years since its installation in September 2018. The competing manufacturers are biding the time and prepare to take over the blood cell analysis process line model of Mindray.

At the hospital level, after five-year application of the analysis process line, the department team leaders and operators have become dependent on the product, and the adoption of a new product line will lead to stall or start-over of a lot of work in the early stages, which affects the daily work. At the product level, the CAL-8000 analysis process line composed of BC-6900s is not scheduled for upgrades in the near future and the existing configurations have few improvements. If there are no more newer service-related activities coming in, the admission of other product lines at a later stage may be affected and the customer's expectation of the service products cannot be met.

To turn the "crisis" to "chance", we proactively carry out the followings:

• Firstly, collaborate with the Training Team Leaders at the Laboratory Center, to develop customized training programs for physicians conducting departmental rotation, advanced study and internship, and provide instructors in some courses.
• Secondly, coordinate with Account Managers to keep abreast of the questions or suggestions in departments regarding automated audit related work during visits and communicate and document in a timely manner.
• Thirdly, communicate with the director and training team leaders along with the clinical examination team leaders to provide a summary of work related to automated CBC audit 2022 and 2023 at a recent department meeting.
  

Draw a New Chapter in Medical Services Hand-in-hand

The collaborations between Mindray engineers and doctors are fruitful. At the department's MDT meeting, we were invited to present the results of the whole process of setting up and launching the automated audit system. After the meeting, the director and all disciplinary leaders said that this was the first MDT activity in the hospital that was done by the clinical application and the doctors of the department, which was of far-reaching significance.

In the future, we will set the Beijing Tiantan Hospital as a model hospital, and continue to extend the scope of services, build a learning platform, and promote the competence enhancement, so as to draw a brand-new chapter of medical services.
