On the last day of ISLH 2022, Mindray held a seminar themed "The New Era of Digital Morphology", attracting a houseful of over 120 attendees. Prof. Giuseppe d'Onofrio, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Laboratory Hematology (IJLH), the official journal of the ISLH, chaired the seminar. Min Zheng, Chief Engineer of Mindray IVD, delivered an opening speech. Under the theme "Mindray's Innovation in Laboratory Hematology", he introduced Mindray's recent innovative accomplishments as well as its clinically-focused R&D strategy, which aims to address clinical challenges through constant technological innovation and efficient commercialization of research findings.
Prof. Gina Zini, a world-renowned expert in morphology from Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS, Rome, Italy, presented an objective evaluation of the excellent performance of Mindray MC-80 Digital Cell Morphology Analyzer in detecting onco-hematological diseases by referring to special clinical cases. Many participants commented after the seminar that Prof. Gina’s evaluation had raised their interest and confidence in Mindray MC-80.
Prof. Anna Merino, a leading expert in digital morphology from Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, elaborated on how Mindray MC-80, with extremely clear images, can help doctors screen and diagnose malignant and non-malignant blood diseases. She wowed the audience with the ultra-high resolution blood cell images produced by MC-80.
This high-caliber seminar attracted a large attendance. More than 94% of the attendees expressed their interest in joining Mindray’s future academic events, saying that the experience and insights shared by leading experts could be very helpful and inspiring to them in their day-to-day work.
On the day before the ISLH, Mindray held the HemaTalk Italy 2022 Global Live Event in a hybrid format (offline meeting and live streaming), attracting over 700 participants in total. At the opening, Dr. Ramon Simon-Lopez from Mindray IVD Scientific Research and Medical Affairs, noted that Mindray has been utilizing its global resources to build a learning and exchange platform for global medical experts and empower the future of clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Cinzia Tavano, a clinical pathology physician at Sant’Andrea Hospital Vercelli, Dr. Laura Ciardelli, Laboratory Deputy Director at Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo, Pavia and Dr. Claudio Siqueira Filho, professor of Clinical Medicine and Hematologist, shared their insights on the most relevant topics such as hematology automation, accurate PLT counting and challenges of working with quality in a big lab, among others.
Ms. Silvia Sofia Gemma Cristiani, Regional Product Manager of Mindray IVD, and Ms. Kwok Hoi Shan, IVD Marketing Manager of ROW & EU regions, also delivered keynote speeches, introducing Mindray’s innovations and hematology solutions.
Afterwards, the attendees had an online conversation with Mindray R&D experts to discuss the future development of laboratory hematology and the latest trends in the translation of clinical research results into practice. It was followed by a Q&A session in which the attendees were actively engaged and had their questions answered by Mindray R&D team.
At its booth at ISLH 2022, Mindray showcased its new MC-80 Digital Cell Morphology Analyzer and the BC-700 Series Hematology Analyzer, attracting the attention of a lot of visitors.
During the ISLH poster session, 36 posters from Mindray’s hematology end users are presented after stringent evaluation based on unique insights and exceptional academic values, making Mindray the exhibitor with the highest number of academic posters. In these posters, many laboratory experts noted that Mindray's innovative solutions have contributed significantly to their clinical research work.
Many visitors lingered at Mindray's posters and discussed with Mindray representatives about the latest research insights. They were also impressed by the quality and quantity of Mindray’s academic research achievements.
It is worth noting that, Mindray's academic strength was also highly recognized by the ISLH committee, who granted Mindray the Berend Houwen Travel Award for outstanding contributions to the industry and excellence in academics.
As part of its commitment to facilitating exchange among laboratory professionals, Mindray invited more than 40 lab experts from Middle East, Africa, Asia-pacific, Europe, Latin America, to visit two renowned public hospitals in Italy, the University Hospital Maggiore della Carità in Novara near Milan, and Ospedale S. Andrea di Vercelli in Vercelli.
